Might it make sense, as Shirley Walker from PAR suggested a the PAC, to address the waiting list issue as an opportunity to make new jobs available? Everyone on the waiting list who gets services will require staffing and supports which need to be provided in most cases by new employees...
ReplyDeleteThe new president is looking for jobs to be created and he is talking about infrastructure. The term I keep hearing is 'shovel ready' jobs. Maybe we need to make a pitch for 'caring ready' jobs in the disability field!
